Fixed term from 6 - 24 months
Full time: 48 Hours (including out of hours)
£31,220 - £41,305 per annum pro rata (plus 2B banding supplement)
Educational Allowance (TBA)
Distant Islands Allowance £1,738 per annum,
Relocation Package £2- 8,000 pro rata per annum,

This is an unparalleled opportunity to gain valuable acute clinical experience, whilst developing your Medical Education and Leadership portfolio. Successful applicants will be involved in providing acute and emergency care, in a purposeful and supervised manner-- ideal for personal development prior to submitting a Core or Specialty post application in Medicine, Surgery, Emergency Medicine or General Practice.
Significant general clinical experience will be provided: General Medicine/A&E post holders will be offered the opportunity to provide patient-centred care from point of hospital presentation until discharge; whilst the General Surgery/A&E post offers exposure to a variety of surgical pathology in General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, Endoscopy and Emergency Gynaecology.
The post includes the provision of clinical teaching, and more formal teaching opportunities with the University of Aberdeen MBChB programme. The post holder will have access to mentorship to support their development as a clinical educator. In addition, involvement in quality improvement, safety management and leadership development is actively encouraged and supported by senior clinicians.
This post includes funding toward a recognised certificate in Medical Education, as well as funding towards an advanced resuscitation course, such as Advanced Trauma Life Support or Paediatric Life Support.
