Occupational Therapy Team Leader (Ref: IRC13082)
Band 8A – Salary Range £40,833 - £49,000 per annum
Full time 37.5 hours per week

In this challenging role you will be leading the delivery of person focused and efficient services across the Community Health & Social Care Directorate of Shetland Island Council and NHS Shetland. As the professional lead for occupational therapists in Shetland, your biggest challenges will include the integration of cultures and systems, managing staff and service users’ expectations, recruitment of registered occupational therapists, effective management and deployment of community equipment and management of budgets. The team work with children, young people and adults who have sustained a physical, sensory, mental and/or psychological event which has compromised their abilities and their access to meaningful occupation, and which may affect their physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being.

We are looking for an experienced, HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with Post Graduate level training. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience in delivering operational services to defined standards and targets, recent experience of managing teams in the health and disability sector, effective management of resources within a set budget and experience of service review and improvement.
